Just My Thoughts

Heavenly Gate Hotel! All are welcome!

All new arrivals must check in at the front desk. No need to ring the bell, we’ll be waiting for you, and we expect you will be traveling light! Lots of vacancies, even though no one ever checks out! Activities around the hotel include: well, that’s up to you! Right? I mean, this is Heaven, you can do whatever you like! Right? Well, almost! So, then, what will you do? Have a piƱa colada? No? Sit on a cloud, perhaps, playing a harp and just daydreaming? Sorry, no vestal virgins here! No fountains full of Jack Daniels! So, what’s your plan?

It is so amazing that everyone wants to go to heaven, or so they think, anyway, but, any thought of what is to be done after arriving? Not usually! If heaven is the answer to all of our problems, then WHY is everyone so afraid of death? Give me a stroke or a nice, quick heart attack while I’m sleeping! What more could a guy ask for? I’m ready to check in!

Or is it, perhaps, that we are frightened by the LIE that the churches feed us of a place of EVERLASTING TORMENT? Perhaps that is motivator for not giving up this life we currently have? Of course, there is no such place, another pure fabrication of Catholicism by twisting the words of the one person who knew the most about heaven and what it meant to be there and what there was to do there and a lot more than that.

Think about it! GOD IS LOVE! Would a God of LOVE give you a life you didn’t ask for, torment you the entire time you are living that life, and then tell you, like it or not, do as I say or I will torture you FOREVER AND EVER AND…

Well, you get the picture. Or do you?

How may times did your parents set you on fire when you did something wrong? No, really…actually set you on fire or held your hand over a flame and burned you for being “bad,” so to speak? Never, they would be maniacs to do so, and end up in prison themselves!

BUT…the churches claim that their God does these things to billions of people, and FOREVER, and ever! Ah, so God is different than parents, right? Less loving, less in control of himself? According to the churches, our Creator who gave us life, is willing to melt the flesh from our bones repeatedly because, why? Because “The wicked must be punished!”

HOW UTTERLY RIDICULOUS! The Bible I read, every version, every translation, says, “God is a god of Love,” and that, “Jehovah is a God, merciful and gracious, abundant in loving kindness and truth.” Not a God of torment and torture. Take a look at this: w73 4/15 pp. 232-241

Oak Leaves: EICHENLAUB

…from Eichenlau, a topograic name from Middle High German eichen ‘oaks’ + ‘loch, lo ‘brush’, ‘undergrowth’, reinterpreted through folk etymology as Eichenlaub ‘oak leaf’. Jewish (Ashkenazic): ornamental name from German Eichenlaub ‘oak leaf’.

Article #1 – Allow the Bible To Interpret Itself

The religion of Jehovah’s Witnesses is ‘True Christianity’

“…the Bible, when taken as a whole, must reveal a message harmonious and consistent with itself and with the character of its Divine Author.”

Aging…the sentence of death that ‘time’ imposes upon us all, makes it my duty to you, my family, to investigate and identify “what dreams may come when we have shuffled off this mortal coil.” as was so eloquently put. My understanding of the Bible is not someone’s “interpretation” of its contents, but is simply the contents presented and learned as a whole. Looking into any book with preconceived notions, you will misunderstand, or, if you wish, misinterpret its contents. Read/study the sixty-six books of the Bible casting aside what the so-called preachers/priests tell you is in it, and learn the truth for yourself. Ask and it will be given, knock and it will be opened. (Matthew 7:7)

By TRUTH, we mean to say that this source of information must be, 1) truly a work that is both inspired by and protected by God, our Creator, 2) recognizable in its entirety as a harmonious and complete message and, 3) must be presented so as to prove that all other schisms of religion, so-called Christian and otherwise, are doubtlessly invented by men and angels and are not those of God (Elohim…Jehovah), the Creator that gave us the words of the prophets and the apostles for us to prepare ourselves for life eternal in the Kingdom of, and by, God.

First of all, you and I were led to believe that Charles Taze Russell was the “founder” of the beliefs of Jehovah’s Witnesses. This is absolutely not the case. The links above and below will explain and can be corroborated by many witness and non-witness sources.

The name “Jehovah’s Witnesses” is nothing more than a title for a group of people who wish to be recognized separately and above the churches and other schisms of Christianity, and apart from all other of the world’s religions. Jehovah’s Witnesses are a group, an organization, not a religion. This has to be understood before anything else can make sense. The “religion” of Jehovah’s Witnesses is, however, true Christianity as taught by Jesus Christ, himself, and his apostles.

” When we read the Scriptures, we should take into account the context and the overall tenor of the Bible.”

(Let Us Compare Scripture With Scripture – WT Study Ed. 2006)

When you have questions and issues at work, sometimes the answers can be simple; i.e. you ask a colleague, or consult a reference a manual. Sometimes, however, the answers require extensive research, which often means using multiple sources and/or references. So why then, should understanding our Creator’s publication, The Bible, be any different?

Given there are sixty six separate books within the total bibliography of the Bible, and knowing they all play a part in understanding the book in its entirety, why would anyone try to formulate a belief system by using only parts of the whole? (e.g. “The old testament,” or “The new testament.”) Also, since this work is the only book provided to us by our creator, why would we go to any other books, especially those concocted by humans or angels, to corroborate its contents, when it, itself, is complete and unique.?

The sixty six contiguous books are recognized throughout the centuries of man’s existence as part of the Bible’s cannonic whole. Each book is known to pertain to the others within the overall volume in very specific ways, and in light of this, for anyone to say, “I live only by the *gospels,” is to say, “I am ignorant and know very little about anything.” Somewhat akin to learning how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, and then calling yourself a mathematician. (*The gospels are what some call the first four books of the Christian Greek scriptures; Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.)

Thank you for stopping by.

This is my personal web log, or BLOG, if you wish. Yes, it does amaze me that the millennial generation feels that this pseudo-brevity of speech somehow makes them sound more intellectual, but, then again, there was a time that we too were alien abductees in the eyes of our parents and grandparents back in our day; “Far out,” “Cool man,” “Groovy baby,” and so on. Older people viewed Elvis as a subversive and the Beatles, well, they weren’t just aliens, they were from another dimension entirely.

Thank you again for taking the time to check out my website. From one generation to the next, I hope I have something of value to share. Please feel free to comment, I would really appreciate knowing that you visited.
